During the days of March 10-11, 2026, the TECHNICAL TRAINING – avaliAR CALCULATOR was held, divided into two groups.
The avaliAR Calculator (version 1.0) is a tool developed in partnership between ANVISA (Gemar/GGTOX) and ProHuma, for use in the Assessment of Non-Dietary Exposure Risk to pesticides.
The training program included theoretical content on the functionalities of the calculator, intended for use in performing predictive calculations. The calculator facilitates the estimation of exposure for operators, re-entry workers, residents, and passersby, in accordance with Collegiate Board Resolution (RDC) No. 998/2025 and Guide No. 84/2025 – Assessment of Exposure of Operators, Workers, Residents, and Bystanders for the Assessment of Pesticide Risk published by Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency – ANVISA.
We are pleased to say that the objective of presenting the functionalities and operation of the tool to promote greater clarity about its practical application has been successfully achieved!
On behalf of the board of directors of the ProHuma Institute, we thank the technical members of the Technical Cooperation Agreement formed by the parties – ANVISA and the ProHuma Institute of Scientific Studies, in partnership with the Calculator Working Group and the programmers of TRD System, for their arduous and dedicated work in developing the tool and for being present and providing technical support during the training activities. Now the work continues new versions of the calculator, as we advance in the themes and parameters that make up the non-dietary AR environment, obtaining an increasingly representative assessment of the reality of the Brazilian scenario.
